How can I connect a microphone to my Onkyo TX-SR506?

The Onkyo’s system would only allow PVR only or MIC only but not both at the same time. The simplest/easiest to implement would be to use a form of external mixer that would allow the mixing of the PVR’s music + the MIC pre-amp’s vocal even before it enters the Onlyo.
